Shikabane Hime
Saki Amase
Saki is Rika Aragami's partnered Shikabane Hime. Saki is a 10 year-old mischievous girl who enjoys teasing Rika. She is usually seen munching on chips or drinking juice, suggesting that her intense regrets and obsessions might be related to food, though the cause of her death was never revealed in the series. Her weapon of choice is a massive hammer. Unlike other Shikabane Himes that the anime follows, her contracted monk, Rika, happens to be one of the ten great holy families, descendants of the ten disciples that followed the Founder of the Kogon Sect, obligated to become contracted monks. Because of that, no ordinary Shikabane can defeat her. She was the one who went out, planning to kill Minai when her contracted monk died.
Itsuki Yamagami
Takamasa's Shikabane Hime. She died in an automobile accident when she was walking home from school and came back as a Shikabane with the regret of not being able living the life of a normal teenage girl. She bonded with Takamasa because she thought he was a powerful monk and would help her get to Heaven faster, due to the fact that his father, Genpaku, was also a powerful contracted monk in his time. Unfortunately, Takamasa knew nothing about the Shikabane Himes before that because his father died before he could tell his son anything about Shikabane, Shikabane Hime, and contracted monks. Regardless, the two continued to work as a team. During their time, they began to develop romantic feelings for each other. However, they were unable to act on them because Itsuki was a Shikabane Hime. They warn Makina and Ouri about making the same mistake, though inside, it seems that they want Ouri and Makina to prove them wrong. She fights with a pair of M945 Combat handguns.
Akira Tōoka
Sadahiro's cynical Shikabane Hime. Often, she hits Sadahiro to stop him from saying something, as well as insult Ouri while he was working in their cafe. Almost nothing is revealed about her past, except for her cause of death by a Shikabane. She fights using a sniper rifle, as well as being the only Shikabane Hime ever allowed to kill humans, to keep them quiet about the true secret of Shikabane Hime. As Sadahiro had said, they have killed dozens of humans and Shikabane who have found out the secret of Shikabane Hime. Together, she and Sadahiro can create the strongest Zadan technique of all the monks in the Kougon Sect. Ever since Akasha betrayed the Kougon Sect and became known as the "traitor monk", Sadahiro and Akira have been trying to hunt him down because of him knowing about the true secret of the fate of Shikabane Hime. She also was the one who killed Minai when she turned into a normal Shikabane after Isaki died.
Minai Ruo
Isaki's Shikabane Hime. Her weapon of choice were a pair of brass knuckles. It was revealed throughout the first season that she committed suicide for killing her boyfriend. She had planned to die with him, but instead became a Shikabane because of her regret. She believed that her becoming a Shikabane Hime was punishment for her sins, but after meeting Ouri, she came to see it as a way to save others. She did grow close to Ouri, but before a relationship could be formed, Isaki was killed; despite Sadahiro's offer to help her transferring her bond to Ouri, she ultimately allowed herself to be terminated rather than taking up the offer or reverting to a rogue Shikabane, because she believed that even though Ouri was a good candidate for a new contracted monk for her, she didn't want him because the only contracted monk for her was Isaki. In the OVA of Shikabane Hime, Minai's past is revealed of how she became a Shikabane Hime. Minai was in an abusive relationship and she struck him with a knife which killed him and then she committed suicide. Soon after, the Kōgon Sect got hold of her. She was intended to be Keisei's Shikabane Hime but Isaki volunteered to be her contracted monk. From the start, Minai was doubted as to whether or not she could be a Shikabane Hime because her contract was incomplete. Isaki and Minai had to have a bond before the contract or else it would be meaningless. So Sadahiro and his Shikabane Hime were both sent to investigate. Later it was revealed that Isaki didn't lie about he having a bond with her; they had indeed met in the past.
Kamika Todoroki
Kamika is Takamine's Shikabane Hime. Rather than fighting and killing Shikabane, she mostly works as a secretary for her contract monk. Even so, she is nicknamed "The Sword Princess" because she has been referred to as the strongest Shikabane Hime not necessarily for the level of strength, but the immensity of her regret and will. If a Shikabane's regret or obsession is great enough, then that gives the Shikabane lots of power. It works the same way for Shikabane Hime, who are just Shikabane themselves. Her weapon of choice is two razor blade samurai swords. Sometimes, she doesn't even need to directly hit something; the fact that she has a powerful obsession is powerful enough for her to give out a blast of energy that destroys anything in its path. Akasha said that if the Seven Stars were to attack her all at once, they would have to be ready to sacrifice some of their team to win in a battle against her.
Flesh Backbone
One of Umehara's Shikabane Hime is Flesh Backbone, who is as much an otaku as Umehara himself, although the two can have even more passionate arguments than normal Makina and Keisei would have had over conflicts on two-dimensional vs. three-dimensional or doujinshi vs. figurines. In fact, she was a foreigner who had died in a plane accident on her way to Akihabara. The other Shikabane Hime of Umehara is Touma (who only appeared in the manga), who is away on a vacation of sorts and seems to strike fear in her contracted monk. She was the unknown female that was peeking outside Makina's cave, and she has brought news about her.
